One of the biggest changes we saw in 2014 was in the percentage of mobile traffic coming to our clients’ newsrooms. Among clients in the retail category, we saw 50% of traffic coming from mobile devices, followed by 45% for travel and tourism-related clients, 40% for tech clients, and 35% for automotive, health and education clients. Not surprisingly, mobile accessibility was a key concern for our new and existing clients, and every newsroom we launched or relaunched in 2014 was built on our mobile-friendly V.11 responsive-design platform.
In the travel and tourism category, we added MGM Resorts, Travel Alberta and a new newsroom for long-term client Vail Resorts called Vail Summer, which showcases the cultural and recreational offerings in Vail during the summer months. Delaware North, a client who manages newsrooms for Shenandoah National Park, Niagra Falls and the Kennedy Space Center, among other attractions, also relaunched their news site. All of these newsrooms include photos and video galleries, and all use our mobile-friendly V.11 responsive-design platform.
Walgreens, who has been a TEKGROUP client since 2007, revamped its newsroom to take advantage of our latest V.11 responsive design platform. We also launched a new site for Walgreens Boots Alliance, which was created through the combination of Walgreens and Alliance Boots in December 2014.
Matomy Media, Remax and Brookdale Living round out the new additions to our client roster in 2014.
